Most of us can work through life’s stressors with the support of family and friends. Sometimes we need the support of trained, experienced professionals to assist with understanding and insight, managing symptoms and working through problems. Psychologists can help with a range of problems and use a variety of evidence-based psychological therapeutic approaches and interventions. Psychologists work with individuals, couples, families and children.
Sessions are generally 50 minutes in length, which provides time to discuss your concerns, treatment and planning.
Longer sessions are available. Please discuss this with your psychologist.
Your first session will involve developing an understanding of your problems and what you hope to achieve from psychological counselling. Following assessment, your psychologist will discuss therapy length and treatment options.
